NFL Playoff Predictions--4 IN, 4 Out

IN:

I thought the time was now, but the injury to Peyton Manning safely assures me that the Houston Texans time is now. Alot of defensive changes, but now the most talented team in the division. Titans will push them for this wildcard division spot but will fall short.

The Chargers are now fully healthy, and fully equipped. They start fast. The Division is theirs easily, if not the Chiefs will be there at the finish line. The chargers with the #1 offense and defense, will be highly disappointed if playoff spot is missed again.

Rex Ryan will always have the defense ready to be playoff bound. Back to Back AFC title games, this team wants to turn the corner and get the super bowl. I believe their right on the cusp but not enough offensive pieces to get that Lombardi Trophy.

Another team like the Jets. The defense will have them in this position every year but they are getting older and running out of time. Offensive can they take that next step. Mainly Joe Flacco. He has to play at an elite level.

Defense is still one of the leagues best. Big Ben is still the starting QB. I still think in the back of my mind that the Packers exposed them in the super bowl by spreading them out and teams able to do that to them, will. A playoff team, picked them 2nd in AFC North, dont think their a super bowl contender until O-Line and Secondary is fixed.

Tom Brady is the league's best. The offense at times is unstoppable. The piece added to get this team to the super bowl is Albert Haynesworth. If hes able to get a constant pass rush, this defense will grow into a force and become super bowl champs.

OUT:

I hate to see this team not make the playoffs. Future is very bright and talent is there. Problem? Schedule is very brutal and i dont think any team could survive the stretch that they will have to endure. They end the season with weeks 11-17 with Patriots, Steelers, Bears, Jets, Packers, Raiders, and Broncos to finish up. They will have to to be almost perfect to start the season just for a 9-7 record.

Peyton Manning is hurt. No more needed to be said.

IN:

On Paper, the 49ers have the best team in the NFC West. Can Alex Smith be able to carry this team to the playoffs. I think coach Harbaugh will put him in the best position to make plays and eliminate certain mistakes. Make or break Alex Smith season.

All this hinges on a healthy Matt Stafford. If you have noticed, how many teams have shut down the Lions when Stafford was on the field for a full game? I cant think of any. When hes healthy they can play with anybody. I think their d-line will actually be the deciding factor in stealing the last playoff spot over the Bears.

Team loaded with offensive weapons after going a nfc best 13-3 last season. Michael Turner is the engine to this vehicle and they now have threats on the outside.

The Dream team will have one of the most explosive offensive teams in the league and can score bunches in a hurry. They added defensive weapons but will their Linebackers grow up throughtout the season to stop the run to make them a serious title contender. I think one of the 3 teams that have the pieces to unseat the Packers as Super Bowl champs.

Beat them? Outscore them. Offense and Drew Brees is going to put up numbers every single week on every single team. Franklin and Rogers will become an asset late in the season as they get in shape as run stuffing DT's. They are going to have to fix that problem in the secondary tho if they are able to win the NFC.

Never quite seen a super bowl champion great on both sides of the ball and great a some many positions. I think Aaron Rodgers go from very good to great and make another run at another super bowl.

OUT:

When Matt Hasslebeck decided he no longer wanted to be a seahawk, the organization decided it no longer wanted to be a playoff team. They went out and took a chance on Tarvaius Jackson. They signed Sidney Rice and hes hurt again. The defense didnt get better.

The team i had the hardest leaving off the playoff list. I still think that their lack of a quality WR and o-line will be their downfall but the defense will keep them in every game. Cutler 2nd season on Mike Martz system should allow him to cut down on the turnovers. It really wouldnt surprise if the NFC North got the Packers, Lions, and Bears all in the playoffs.
